Airport Lounge Development and Swissport bring Club Aspire brand to Gatwick North

Airport Lounge Development and Swissport bring Club Aspire brand to Gatwick North
Gatwick North is the second Club Aspire-branded lounge launched in the UK and opens following an extensive refurbishment

LONDON, 12 June 2018: The Airport Lounge Development (ALD) & Swissport partnership has now opened the Club Aspire lounge at Gatwick North, the second under the Club Aspire brand in the UK. Located airside within the Lounge Pavilion, it brings the successful Club Aspire formula to Gatwick for the first time to meet increased demand for premium lounges at one of the UK’s busiest airports.

The 4,000 square-foot environment has been completely refurbished to deliver maximum comfort and luxury for frequent flyers. It now features rest, refresh and work zones to suit the needs of different travellers; whether they need a quiet space to fire off last minute emails or a relaxing area to read a good book.

A new bar has also been installed, kitted out with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including exclusive Spey Whiskey and local London Pride beer. An extensive hot food menu, including the Club Aspire cooked breakfast, will be on offer.

To celebrate the launch, the lounge will be serving complimentary prosecco to guests visiting during the first two months of the lounge opening.

Errol McGlothan, Director, Airport Lounge Development, said: “Today’s travellers are unwilling to settle for less: they expect modern, comfortable environments, personalised experiences, and unrivalled food and drink options. Our Club Aspire brand offers this and more. As the demand for premium, shared-use lounges grows globally, we’re excited to continue to launch new lounges with our partner, Swissport, to deliver the experience today’s passengers have come to expect.”

Priority Pass, LoungeKey and Lounge Club members can access the lounge using their memberships, with additional guests charged at £15 each. Those without memberships can pre-book three hours in the lounge for £24.99, while walk-in guest will be charged £28.00 on the door. For more details, visit here.

The new lounge follows the launch of the popular Club Aspire at Heathrow Terminal 3 in 2016, which was nominated by Skytrax as one of the Top 10 Independent Airport Lounges in the World. ‘Club Aspire’ is jointly owned and operated by ALD and Swissport.
